Student Union Bar

The Union Bar is re-opening for session 07/08 with new extended hours from 12 noon-11pm, Monday-Friday. Draught products will now be available, including ice cold Guinness. Some hot bar snacks, new pool tables and IT box, plus student-friendly prices.

It’s not luxurious and it’s not for the “big night out” but it’s a comfy place to hang out, watch big screens, have a chat with your student mates and have a couple of drinks without busting the budget - and it’s a good place to go before the “big night out” just to get yourself loosened up and in the mood for the night to come.

Fancy yourself as a performer? Sing or play an instrument? Stand up comic? Then showcase your talent at our Open Mic Nights this term, every 2nd Thursday of the month. There will also be lunchtime pool competitions with cash prizes.

The bar is available for hire on Saturday nights till 11pm – £50 deposit refunded provided no damage is done and at least £200 in sales over the bar on the night. Great starting place for a class night out or a birthday party. Call 0131 229 8791 for details.
