Why get involved?
There are lots of great volunteering opportunities in which you, as a student, can get involved. It's very easy - and the rewards are great for you and, hopefully, for others too!
There is a range of volunteering opportunities to cater for different needs:
Basics Bank: Creative Challenge
Are you looking for a chance to gain experience in a creative marketing and advertising project? Then the Basics BankCreative Challenge is for you. Basics Bank are a charity based in Bruntsfield and they are looking for someone to come up with a new innovative brand image for themselves as they look to improve their ability to give out food to some of the most disadvantaged people and families in Edinburgh.
If you think you are up to the task please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you a copy of the Creative Brief which I developed with Basics Bank and give yourself a chance to develop your employability through a great and innovative project.
Christmas Parcels: NSA and Edinburgh Napier Give Back
As part of NSA and Edinburgh Napier University's Community outreach programme we will be working with Age Scotland to produce 2,000 Christmas hampers to give out to the elderly and low income families in the Sighthill area as a Christmas present from us to a local community which is home to one of our largest campuses. In order to do this I require some extra Santa's Helpers to:
- Gather food donations
- Make up and wrap Christmas parcels
- Deliver Christmas parcels
If you would be interested in being one of Santa's little helpers
then please contact Liseli via email@example.com
to register your interest.
Liseli (above) is NSA's Vice President responsible for Reps and Volunteers. She is the main contact for Napier's Programme Reps.
