Please help Edinburgh Napier give something back to the elderly and low income families in the Sighthill and surrounding area by:

  • Donating food stuffs
  • Donating money to enable us to buy food stuffs and wrapping paper
  • Volunteering to deliver Christmas hampers to Age Scotland and Basics Bank’s community centres

The kind of food and items we require for the hampers are as follows;

  • Tinned soups, tinned fruit/veg
  • Tinned ham/salmon/tuna
  • Packet of rice/risotto/pasta
  • Good Quality Oatcakes such as Nairns
  • Relish or Pate
  • Little Christmas puddings
  • Tub of custard
  • Dried fruits and nuts
  • Jar of good quality jam: Tiptree/Wilkins/Supermarket’s own top range
  • Tinned fruit
  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Tea/Coffee/Sugar
  • Treats like; little festive luxuries like a miniature hot chocolate or spiced Christmas drink, shortbread or nice chocolates – ginger seems to be a popular flavour with older people
  • Wind up torches or radios

If you would be interested in delivering and or wrapping food parcels then please contact l.sitali@napier.ac.uk for more details.
