Recently the University announced plans to change the name of Napier University to “Edinburgh Napier University”.

• Last night at Student Senate Vice-Principal Dr.Jenny Rees explained the reasons behind this change.
• An overwhelming majority of students who expressed a view at Senate were opposed to the name. Do you feel the same or doesn’t the name matter?
• Further information, and the reasons why this is happening is available on the student portal, I would advise you to read this before you make your views heard.
• Dr.Rees has asked that any student with a contribution to make must email their thoughts to namechange@napier.ac.uk. Please also copy me a.simm@napier.ac.uk into your email so that NSA are aware of the contributions.
• I also ask that in order for NSA to make its views heard at the next University Court (the committee which made this decision) meeting that the University and NSA receive your views by lunch time next Monday (17th Dec).

Please contribute to this decision, it will be the only chance students get!
