Claim now! If you claimed the non-income assessed loan only this year, SAAS will be sending you a shortened paper form as of 7/4/08 which you need to check and amend if necessary. If you applied online for the NIA loan only, SAAS will contact you from 15/4/08 online with a short form which you check and amend if necessary. Otherwise you can claim online for next year as of 21 April 08.

Remember you need to apply each year for your tuition fees to be paid and if you are requesting a loan or grants.

English, Welsh and NI continuing students
As above you should receive information by post or online to check for accuracy/changes of circumstances. If you wish payment to be in place for October 08 then the deadlines are:
23/5/08 – for students needing a financial assessment
25/4/08 – for students taking the non-income assessed loan only

Graduate Endowment Tax – Good news
This has been abolished by the Scottish government for all students graduating from a Scottish university on or after 1st April 2007.
