Anime & Manga

The Anime and Manga Society was started in 2006 by three first year students; Sean Sha, HoMan Cheung and Liam Anderson along with the help of lecturer Ian Smith. The Inaugural meeting was held on October 24th showing Bleach anime. From that date forward the society has aimed for a meeting every fortnight showing a variety of anime including popular anime such as “Deathnote” and “Bleach” and less known anime like “Mushi-shi” and “Hajime no Ippo”.

Anime

After a successful first year we will aim to continue to bring new and fresh anime and manga to the meetings. We continue to build relationships with other anime societies with the universities in the Edinburgh region and continue to work together to bring you small conventions and events. We continue to watch the scene for major events and hope to plan trips and outings to such events as a group.

As a Society we are aiming to:
• Educate and introduce people to anime and manga.
• Give people a place and a chance to discuss and anime and manga.
• Introduce people to new anime and manga they may not have heard of.
