You may have the appetite for chess but its sometimes too expensive for you to find a place out there to enjoy the game or your skill’s to so good to engage good players or you want to play live with the opportunity to have your games analysed for you so you don’t make too many mistakes. Whichever one is your choice, Edinburgh Napier chess club is the perfect place to get that almost done free! As a student and member of the club, you will have the opportunity to make new friends from all works of life so it’s more or less like a social network of likeminded individuals.

Our main aim is to promote the game within and outside the campuses by participating in tournaments that could give you the opportunity to go places. As a club, our members are classified graded by their skills; the professional players, average and the learners so which ever category you feel you belong to you will always have the opportunity to enjoy the flare of the game as the classification thing comes only when we play tournaments.

Our membership size is growing from strength to strength on a weekly basis and as a result we change our meeting times between the 3 campuses you could get this updates on our Facebook and twitter pages . We always recommend white T-shirts for all members who come to play on weekly basis. Soon each of us will have the opportunity to have our the club logo with your individual member names crested at the back or breast side of it. It’s not a popularity contest but we will be crowning potential kings and queens every 2 months so the present ones could have at least time to proudly enjoy their seat as they would have all the time they could get to defend it .
