Music Society

Do you love music? Whether it’s rock, jazz, classical or country music you’re into, is Napier University Music Society is for you. NUMS is a newly formed society and has been up and running for one year, letting people from all courses enjoy getting involved with music.

Open to everyone, we rehearse for our various music groups every week and hold social events every two weeks. The groups we hold at the moment are our vocal, wind and jazz bands but we always welcome new ideas for different groups to form.

Socially, we hold events such as open mic nights, themed pub crawls and quiz nights. Throughout the coming semesters we will be holding concerts, giving you the opportunity to perform with your own bands and for the NUMS ensembles, which we will be entering into competitions. We are also hoping to arrange a short weekend-away trip in the second semester. The society is made up of friendly people who always welcome new members and new ideas, so come along!
