Student Support Forum 4 Females

ssf4f

Studying in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Creative Industries at Napier University, you may find that as a woman, you are in the minority. We would like to change this! The Student Support Forum for Females is a new Society which has been set up to provide peer support to women students, specifically those who study in these areas.

By Joining SSF4F, you can benefit from access to information and guidance as well as the chance to develop transferable skills and experience throughout your own journey through university and beyond.

As well as getting involved in various informal social events, you can expect to receive opportunities to attend more formal professional development events, which will help you to build strong links with industry. Past members can boast an array of achievements, all credit to support from the Forum. For instance, our Project Coordinator was nominated for the WISE Excellence Award for her work in establishing and promoting the forum. She was presented with a certificate by Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, the Royal Patron of WISE. Other prospective highlights include professional speakers from industry, visits to organisations and information regarding graduate recruitment opportunities.

SSF4F operate both online and face-to-face and support various modes of communication, therefore you can get involved as much or as little as you wish. You can find out more about us on our website where we have useful contact information, helpful advice, informative news articles, inspirational stories and interviews from professionals who have made it.
