In a time future historians will one day call 'The Past', at a place I wish I could name but it's been a confusing week, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver; yes, it's us, the Napier Subculture Society.

When we're not ripping off popular sketch comedy shows, we spend our time being a social society for the rest of us, acting as a centre to the myriad of social circles and groups at Napier. There are weekly meet ups, but you don't have to come if you don't want to, it's up to you to choose how active you want to be.

We organise different events throughout the year so there's bound to be something you'll like; we've got a schedule of events lined up but we definitely want to hear from you if there's anything you want us to do as well. Last year we ran live music nights covering a variety of genres in addition to several pub crawls and club takeovers.

To keep up with what's on around the city and uni, we run a weekly video podcast - a magazine-format show broadcast online. We're always looking for people to get involved with that too, if it sounds like your sort of thing.

Finally, having been around for a while now, we're on good terms with lots of the clubs, pubs and bars around the city. When you join our society, you'll get a membership card for the year that you can use for a variety of deals around town. You'll also get priority at any events we organise, unsurprisingly.
