Do you enjoy kicking a ball while downing a double vodka? If so, the ladies football team is perfect for you. The club consists of members of any age, course or ability. Whether you have played at club level or never in your life, it’s all about taking part and going out for the legendary Wednesday night out.
We train on Tuesday nights between 8.30pm and 10pm, whether it rain, shine or snow at Saughton Sports Complex. If you’re unfortunate enough to not have a car, you can hop on the number 1 bus at Fountainbridge (right outside the Napier Halls) or the number 22 from Lothian Road, across from the Sheraton Hotel.
We’re in the BUSA Scottish University Football League and play our games on Wednesday afternoons. This year we had great road trips away to teams, including Aberdeen (Bex, do you have your boots?). Don’t fret folks, issues with classes on Wednesdays can be sorted with your lecturers!
After home games, we have ‘banter in the Chanter’, our sponsorship pub, for grub and refreshments with the opposition. This is the place to get the party started, before rolling on to Shark at City Nightclub (Sports union members get in free)!
Over the past two years the club has come over leaps and bounds and the drinking has remained a strong point. Not forgetting the football, we are doing really well in the BUSA league and hopefully seeking promotion this year or next.

The major highlight of being a sport union member is the end of year Sports and Societies Ball. A gathering of all team and clubs for one big session!! Cheers guys!!
Training:
