Napier University Rugby Union comprises of two teams, our 1st xv and our 2nds team, which this year will mainly be made up of Freshers talent. The 08/09 season will see an array of new coaching staff whom are committed to guiding our players throughout the season and maintaining a high level of player ability.

At Napier we boast players from all over the UK and Ireland, including various internationals, who not only play for the university but also are always there to offer advice to some of our inexperienced players. Experience is not everything as we encourage players of all levels of ability to come and train with the team.

At NRU, it’s not all about Rugby, as the players like to enjoy themselves after every game! So be prepared for some good nights out whether at home or away! For those of you who need that extra edge, NRU is affiliated with one of the local club teams and they are always happy to take on new players from our team.
