At Napier Rugby we pride ourselves in taking promising young talents just out of school and taking them under our wing and nurturing them into international superstars - maybe not rugby superstars, but superstars all the same.
We boast 3 teams, Union first and second XV’s who play in the Scottish Universities Leagues and a Rugby League team who play in the British North East League and regularly travel to away games in the north of England. The Rugby League team won this league last year and got to the quarter finals of the BUSA shield and are on course to retain their crown this year.
The club boasts players from the Scottish Premier Leagues as well as players who have just decided to give rugby a go. So all in all, the club is open to anyone.
In recent seasons Napier has been represented very well in university international sides and these opportunities arise regularly to further your rugby career.
Training is held on Mondays on the back pitches of Murrayfield at 6:30pm, and matches for all teams are held on Wednesday afternoons.

It may sound like its just rugby, rugby, rugby but occasionally we do let our hair down and have been known to frequent the student union bar and some of Edinburgh’s finer night spots, as well as some of the more shady ones too. All in all Napier Rugby is all about having fun and playing the game we love and everybody is welcome regardless of ability, height, weight, sexuality, or body odour.
