Snow

Are you a complete beginner, freestyle pro or potential après ski-bar hound? Do you look forward to snow, like to chuck yourself off things or does the thought of carving through fresh powder makes you sex-wee? When you join NUSC this can all become a reality, along with meeting a fun crew of people who are similar to yourself. Even if you have never stepped on a board or skis before, you are invited to join Napier University Snowsports Club. We arrange lessons in each semester, including hire, for new members who want to try their hand at a new sport or improve skills they already have.

We are officially the biggest club at Napier and have been voted ‘Sports Club of the Year’ for the last 4 years, a title which we are hoping to retain for the fifth year in a row. But this can only be done with your help! We are renowned throughout the uni for our lively, sometimes slightly insane, attitudes to life, our extreme dancing skills and the ability to consume copious amounts of energy drink!

Out of season, we arrange trips up to the dry slope at Hillend most Wednesdays, where you can experience the sensation that is Betty! Every few weeks we also organise a trip through to the Xscape Snowdome at Braehead. In season, we pile into the ‘trusty’ NSA minibus and head for the Highlands.

NUSC is affiliated to the British University Snowsports Council (BUSC) who arrange an annual week of competitions, partying and playing in which over 2500 students take over an alpine resort! After we come down form the hills, we hit the bar and then head to a nightclub to show all the other uni’s how it’s done!

If you want to be part of Edinburgh Napier’s friendliest and most adrenalin-driven club, drop us an email or check out our website.
