The Napier University Tennis Club is one of the university’s newest and fastest evolving clubs. The aim of the club is to provide all Napier students with the opportunity to play regular tennis where local tennis club fees can be a hindrance. The club is open to players of all levels of play, from complete beginners to title contenders. Irrespective of competitive outlook or fitness levels, the club has something for everyone with the current roster incorporating everything from complete novices to qualified coaches.
The club runs a men’s team throughout the semester that will compete in BUSA leagues and play competitive matches against other Uni’s ranging from Heriott Watt to RGU, Strathclyde to Stirling. The team is open to everyone who wishes to try out, simply come along to a session and we will sort out a challenge match for a spot. Everyone on the team will have an additional training session throughout the week.
Facilities provided are indoor hard courts similar in specification to those at Flushing Meadows (US Open). Racquets and balls can also be provided.

Club members can often be found in the Students’ Union after matches and sessions on a Wednesday where the social side of the club is experienced. The social side provides the opportunity to get to know other members and arrange external matches, as well as just being an excuse for a drink.
The session runs from 2-4pm at Craiglockhart Tennis Centre every Wednesday and courts are designated on a first come first served basis. For further information on Volkl Tennis, Becker Tennis, men’s team or demo days, just get touch.
