Whether you are renting privately or staying in purpose-built student accommodation, where you live is a huge part of your life as a student!
Rent is probably the biggest expense you will have during your time at Uni and accommodation problems can have a significant impact on your student experience, but we also know that your accommodation is your home, somewhere that you’ll share the good times with your friends and flatmates.
Accommodation Week is a chance for us to find out what’s important to you about where you live, to find out what are the main accommodation issues are for students, and also to have a bit of fun and raise some money for Shelter Scotland, a fantastic housing charity.
We’ll be out on campus and asking you fill in our Accommodation survey to help us to make sure that we can support students and address some of the most common issues you experience when renting, both privately and at University Accommodation.
We’ll also be holding a a couple of fun social events for flatmates to get together and challenge other flats:
5-a-side Football Tournament:
Thursday 7 November @ Boroughmuir High School. Meet in Bainfield Common Room for 7:30pm. Prize for the winning team. £1 donation per person to Shelter Scotland to take part.
Bainfield Quiz Night:
Friday 8 November @ Bainfield Common Room. 7pm start. £50 cash prize. Teams of up to 5. £1 donation per person to Shelter Scotland to take part.
