Name: Georgia Moran
Running for: Vice President Sports & Societies
Course: BA Popular Music
Hi, my name is Georgia Moran and I am your current VP Sports and Societies. There are so many reasons why I am rerunning, but the most important one is that I just absolutely love this job.
Being part of ENSA/Team Napier for the past 5 years has been the most amazing, fun and experience enriched years of my life. The past 7/8 months has taught me so much about the sector but it has been a lot to learn. This job requires hard work and dedication to students which I have and I have shown this through my previous roles as Hockey President, Sport Exec, Student Rep and Activities Officer.
This year, I have worked on and headed up a number of successful campaigns such as Rainbow Laces and Feel Fab Feb. I have generated more sponsorship for the TN Ball and Varsity, which has allowed me to expand and make these bigger and better events. I organised the first Committee Dinner, bringing sports and societies together.
I have worked closely with Scottish Student Sport, sitting on a number of committees trying to make student sport in Scotland inclusive, successful and enjoyable for all of you. Also taking on and heading up the national #shecanshewill campaign.
I have worked with the university staff and leadership team to get the right facilities for Team Napier, on a number of issues such as mental health and equality and I have tried my very best to put TN on the map within the university structure. I have helped many new societies get started as they are a huge part of TN.
You should re-elect me because continuity is key and all I want to do is continue and finish what I have started.
It’s a love story, baby just vote G.
