Statement from ENSA VP for Sports & Societies, Georgia Moran:

Sports & Societies Activity

In view of the up to date communication from the Government, from Tuesday 17 March at 4pm all sport and society activity should be cancelled. This includes trainings, sessions, meet ups etc. We would like to limit face-to-face contact to keep all of you safe. As of tomorrow, all campuses will be closed to students, so room bookings etc. will also be void.

Team Napier Ball

It is with a very heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel the Team Napier Ball. Due to recent Government guidelines on mass events and the current climate, we know that this is the right thing to do. I know this very gutting news to some of you, but please keep an eye on our social media for an alternative plan to give out the awards to the winners and celebrate all of your amazing success.

Everyone will get a full refund, but please bear with us as this may take a while due to the shutting of the ENSA office.

AGMs

We are currently looking at how to hold AGM’s and will update all committee members tomorrow through the Committee Facebook groups and emails. In view of the fact that we not sure when ENSA will re-open its office, it is important that ENSA has new contact office holders for the summer so that it can maintain communication into next session.

Varsity

After many conversations with Andy from QMU and our partners, we have decided to cancel next week’s Varsity against QMU. We are both extremely disappointed that this decision must be made, but your health and safety is our top priority.

To all of you that are leaving this year, I know this is not the way we wanted our time with Team Napier to end, but we have to keep going and support each other as this situation unfolds. As always, please follow Government guidelines and please stay safe!

Sending my love to all of you!
