ENSA Advice Update



Any students having an old-style private residential tenancy coming to an end will now need the new agreement under the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016.  The new ‘private residential tenancy’ has been in force since 1 December 2017.  Full details on Shelter Scotland / Scottish Government website.

The next round of Discretionary Fund (Nursing and Midwifery students only) will be invited for applications during November. The Discretionary fund is intended to help eligible students who are in financial difficulty to attend their programme of study. Keep an eye on the Money page on My Napier.


The Scottish Government announced this month that there are plans to increase the bursary for Nursing and Midwifery students. The bursary will rise to £10,000 by 2020, with an interim increase to £8,1000 in session 2019/20 for eligible students. Current bursary details aare available on SAAS website
