The Societies Executive is a small group of Society Office Holders working with the VP Sports & Societies to get things done on a practical level, as well as having strategic and developmental input into ENSA’s Societies provision.
The Societies Executive also work with the VP Sports & Societies to promote societies and increase memberships, assist with Society campaigns and events, and organise and promote Societies Forums and other ENSA Society events.
• VP Sports & Societies - Convenor
• 3 Society Office Holders elected by Societies Forum
Societies Forums are a place for the discussion of general Societies matters between Society Office Holders. This can include topics such as ENSA’s relationship with Societies, ideas for Societies development, expectations of the Societies Executive and the VP, and reward and recognition. It is also a place for the VP and the Societies Executive to consult Office Holders on their plans and ideas.
The Forum elects members to sit on the Societies Executive. They do not have the power to create policy but can pass on recommendations to the Executive and VP to be taken to Council.
Who can attend the Forums?
• VP Sports & Societies (without voting rights)
• The Societies Executive
• ENSA Activities Officer (without voting rights)
• All core Office Holders of societies (President, Treasurer and Secretary)
When are Forums held?
Societies Forums should be held at least once in Trimesters one and two, but additional ones may be convened throughout the year. All Society Presidents will be notified of Forum times and locations as far in advance as possible and should pass this information on to other Office Holders.
