Sunday 7th
Sip and Stroll, 2pm- Meet at Knoops
Our Sip and Stroll event is the perfect way to get settled during the start of Welcome Week 2025! Start your day the mellow way with Sip and Stroll, a relaxed coffee crawl through Edinburgh that blends scenic streets with warm sips. Beginning at Knoops, you’ll join a friendly group for a gentle wander past the city’s iconic spots, pausing at a few beloved cafés along the way. It’s the perfect mix of caffeine and calm, ideal for easing into student life while getting to know your new city, one cup at a time.

Monday 8th
Paint and Picnic, 2pm- Sighthill
Looking for the perfect way to unwind and get creative? Paint and Picnic is your chance to soak up some fresh air, enjoy a chilled afternoon at Sighthill, and paint at your own pace, no experience needed. We’ll provide the art supplies, you bring a blanket and your favourite snacks, and together we’ll turn the outdoors into our open-air studio. It’s a laid-back way to meet people, get inspired, and take a breather from the Welcome Week buzz.

Tuesday 9th
Pizza and Boardgame Night, 7pm- Three Sisters
Nothing says low-key fun like Board Games & Pizza Night at the Union Bar. Whether you’re a strategy master or just in it for the laughs, this is your chance to relax, play your favourite games, and meet new people over a slice (or three). With a mix of classic board games, card games, and good vibes, it’s the perfect way to spend a casual evening without the pressure.

Wednesday 10th
Welcome Fest, 1pm- Craiglockhart Lawn
Looking for a fun, low-key way to ease into uni life? Welcome Fest is your chance to take a break, meet other students, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon filled with light-hearted fun.
Expect things like inflatables, carnival-style games, a petting zoo, candy floss, and a few surprises—nothing too hectic, just a good time outdoors with a friendly crowd. Whether you come with friends or just want to wander through on your own, it’s a great way to enjoy the fresh air and settle into the rhythm of student life.

Wednesday 10th
An Evening at Book Lovers, 6:30pm- Book Lovers Bookshop
Calling all romantics and readers - Late-Night at Book Lovers is the cosy midweek escape you didn’t know you needed. This after-hours event invites you to browse dreamy romance reads at your own pace, glass of wine in hand and soft music in the air. With tasty nibbles, great conversation, and plenty of swoon-worthy stories to discover, it’s the perfect way to unwind and connect with fellow book lovers. Drop in anytime from 6:30pm and soak up the bookshop magic before doors close at 8.

Thursday 11th
Welcome Fair, 10am- Corn Exchange
The Welcome Fair is an easy, low-pressure way to start finding your feet. No need to rush around or have everything figured out—just show up, wander through, and see what catches your eye.
With around 150 stalls in one place, it’s your chance to check out what student life at Napier has to offer—sports clubs, societies, helpful services, and loads of local tips. Whether you're hoping to keep up a hobby from home or just curious to try something new, there's plenty to explore at your own pace.
You’ll come across friendly people, practical info, some decent freebies, and maybe even a new plan for your week. It’s a great way to ease into things, meet a few faces, and start feeling more at home in the city—no pressure, no expectations.
Just bring yourself (and maybe a tote bag).
Friday 12th
Puppy Yoga, time slots begin at 2pm- Eric Liddel Centre
Yes, you read that right... Puppy Yoga is coming back, and it’s every bit as adorable as it sounds. Join us for a heart-melting session of gentle yoga and puppy cuddles, hosted just a short walk from Merchiston at the Eric Liddell Centre. You’ll get 30 minutes of calm stretches and playful pup time, perfect for unwinding and lifting your spirits.

Sports and Societies Quiz, 8pm- Three Sisters
Ready to put your random knowledge (and team spirit) to the test? The Sports & Societies Pub Quiz is your chance to bring the brains, the banter, and a brilliantly bad team name to the Union Bar. Whether you're repping your club or just along for the laughs, it’s a relaxed night of trivia, good vibes, and maybe even a few prizes, plus the ultimate reward: bragging rights.
