The National Union of Students (NUS) is running a petition to “Keep the Graduate Route Visa”. This visa currently allows international students 2 years to find a job in the UK after they graduate. We need your help to save it!

The government wants to cut the amount of time international students can stay in the UK after they graduate by a third for undergraduate and master's students, and half for PhD students.

ENSA President, Evans Eghan, stated:

“As President of Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association, I firmly stand with the NUS in defending the Graduate Route Visa.

International students are not just a supplement but contribute greatly to build the student community and the nation in general. Their global perspectives and viewpoints strengthen our academic experiences, and enhances the diversity of our campus life.

The UK Government’s proposal to cut the Graduate Route Visa is a step in the wrong direction. It threatens opportunity, diversity, multiculturalism, and the critical foundation that makes our universities thrive.

It is the responsibility of us all to protect the future of international students and that of higher education in the UK.

I urge everyone to sign the NUS petition and make your voice heard.”
