The results are in and the winners can now be announced for this year’s Student Elections!
For the past week Edinburgh Napier University students have been voting for the students who they want as their Student Co-Presidents for session 2023/24. The results are:
President Societies & Community
Geou Akshil was elected, eventually winning by 458 votes to 396 after 4 rounds of elimination under the ATV voting system.
(Total votes cast in ballot: 1260)
Co-President Education & Employability
In an incredibly tight contest, Opeyemi Akindehin won by 14 votes over her closest rival after 4 rounds of elimination (440 to 426)
(Total votes cast in ballot: 1073)
Co-President Sport & Wellbeing
Finally, Ryan Cairns emerged victorious after 3 rounds of elimination, by 488 votes to 385.
