Craft Group Volunteer

Ecas provide a range of activities for physically disabled people. They include Tai Chi, swimming, computing, art, craft, music, yoga and a reading and creative writing group. We are looking for a volunteer to help with one of our craft groups. This person would have a number of light tasks which includes helping the group leader set up (set out craft materials, lay out client work in progress) help with tea/coffee making at break time.

Volunteer Admin Assistant

Activities may include data inputting, maintaining and reorganising the filing system, photocopying, shredding, ordering of stationery and other items for the building and any other admin tasks which may arise

Friends of Nightline Volunteer

Are you able to listen but not judge? Can you give information but not advice? Can you spare a few nights every term to support other students?

Our organisation relies on our listening volunteers to take confidential, anonymous calls and e-listenings (instant-messenger calls). Our listening volunteers are an integral part of our organisation and receive an extremely high level of initial and ongoing training, based around training delivered by other organisations such as the Samaritans.

Customer Service Volunteer

We're looking for a polite and friendly volunteer with good customer service skills to volunteer in our busy shops. You'll be ringing up sales, taking payments and assisting customers, as well as pricing up donated goods. You'll be part of a fun and vibrant team, and contributing to Oxfam's essential work.

Helpline Volunteer

Volunteers respond to phone calls, emails and webchats from anyone in Scotland caring for or concerned about a child. Full training is provided. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and use basic counselling skills and gain experience in supporting families in Scotland.

Week Day Community Grower

Help us grow organic veggies for the local community with this hands-on opportunity. Let us know your availability and how much time you have to spare and we can make sure you know which tasks we would love you to help with – in good weather we’ll try to get you out on the fields, other times you might be in the poly tunnels.

Cancer Volunteer Team Leader

As an Ellie’s Army Team Leader you will lead your own team of students to email to businesses and people with skills in your area, and encourage them to donate products or time to help local adults who are living with cancer.

Social Media Officer

The Social Media Officer is responsible for representing the organisation through all our portals to an audience of 3000+ followers. The role includes the responsibility to post updates about the organisation, maintaining the organisation’s voice, promoting events, publishing copy, and more!

Girlguiding Edinburgh - Unit Leaders and Assistant Leaders

Every Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Senior Section unit has at least one Leader, who has completed the Girlguiding Leadership Qualification. Leaders have overall responsibility for the unit, often supported by a team of other volunteers. Leaders and Assistant Leaders work with the girls to plan activities and to ensure that finances and Go! are kept up to date.
