Events Assistant Volunteer

Bright Light is Scotland’s leading relationship counselling charity supporting individuals, couples and families across Edinburgh and the Lothians. They have a great opportunity to help support the planning of the charity's 70th anniversary celebrations.

 
General Community Youth Centre Volunteers

CYC is constantly developing and we're looking for volunteers to help us expand the range of activities and services we provide, as well as reaching out to new target audiences and sectors of the community. App Development Officer

In an effort to maximize dissemination of our materials and teach emergency healthcare to a wider audience, we are currently developing a web application which allows users to learn new skills. This web app takes the form of text and picture based lessons and associated quizzes. The aim of the quizzes is both to help users test their knowledge and at the same time provide us with data to make sure that our lessons are teaching what we think they are.

 
Befriending Volunteers

Ecas need volunteer Befrienders to visit or go out with people isolated by their disability. Do you enjoy:

• meeting new people
• having a laugh
• making new friends
• helping others?

You could help make a difference to a physically disabled adult by befriending them on a one-to-one basis. Ecas offer training, lots of support and the opportunity to be part of something positive and fun.

 
Creche Volunteer

We are looking for a creche volunteer to work with children aged 3 months to 5 years through different fun activities. The creche will run during the young mums group on a Thursday morning while the young women do separate work.

 
Community Bike Workshop Assistant

In this role, volunteers are asked to aid the running of our friendly, open and fun community bike maintenance workshop. The aim of the workshop is to teach others about bike maintenance in a relaxed and supportive environment. Previous experience of bicycle maintenance is beneficial but not essential.

 
Youth Worker - Borders

Are you looking to volunteer closer to home and are located in the Borders???
- To assist the group in planning activities which support and empower LGBT young people to improve their confidence and self esteem, and increase skills and knowledge - To provide support and referral options to LGBT young people who need additional support or specialized services - To adhere to all LGBT Youth Scotland Policies, including Child Protection and guidelines around boundaries and attendance

 
Craigroyston FC Videographers/Filmmakers

Craigroyston Football Club are keen to recruit volunteers who can film their matches on a Saturday afternoon, and upload footage to Youtube. This a great opportunity to get some experience filming sports and action, and you can try your hand at editing and producing footage too. An excellent way to build a portfolio. You will need your own equipment to film.

 
Digital Champion Volunteer

Our new Re:connect project provides Digital Classroom Sessions for people to develop their digital skills and computer literacy. It is focussed on supporting people who are lonely and isolated. Join us and develop your digital and computer literacy skills whilst helping other people do the same.

 
Retail Charity Shop Volunteer

To help the Shop Manager with the day to day work in the shop. To use creative flair and skill as appropriate; to generate ideas to promote the shops and the work of Bethany; to carry out surveys and reports to feed back useful information to Retail.
