FIVE THINGS FOR A FRIDAY
It's the last day of the Myanmar Fundraiser. It's only a week so the students can concentrate on their studies and exams afterwards. Please donate online here or in person at Sighthill Campus today.
RECYCLE AND REUSE
The donations drive has started on all those unwanted items in your flats and your bags! Drop off details can be found here and next academic year other students can save money by using your second hand goods.
ADVERTISE WITH US
Students across the city may work for a company that you feel will appeal to students. They can advertise with us and the funds help support improving the student experience. The best way for us to promote this is by your word of mouth. Share this opportunity with your employer now - details here
STUDENT FUTURES
This week we attended the Student Futures Work Experience Awards at the Riverside Suite in Craiglockhart. It was truly inspiring hearing about the students who put themselves up for this award and hear about the experiences they had and the initiaitves they brought to their employers. Which reminds me in a fortnight I hope to let you know more about some of our volunteer opportunities, Board Members, interns and new staff coming to ENSA.
THE THICK OF IT
We were truly into Welcome Week and next academic year this week after drawing (some) breath during the Eater holidays! The staff gave a presentation of their contribution to your new Student Community Development Plan (formerly Strathegic Plan) to the ENSA Board of Directors. We also had a timetabling meeting looking at the whole academic year, a meeting with collegaues at Edinburgh University Students Association on how we can strengthen our partnership next year and a discussion with colleagues across the University about plans for Welcome Week. It was an opportunity for our new Welcome Week intern Sadie Purves to find out more about the work they will be doing over the next few months too - welcome aboard!
This week we also took time to reflect on the past year as we finalise our Impact Report, shared that with the Student Council and saw a handover lunch with clubs and societies. It has been a great year so far and with over 600 nominations for the Execellance Awards from you it isn't quite over yet.
Finally if you still have exams good luck and if you can enjoy the sunshine! No Five Things For a Friday for me as a weekend in Warsaw is coming up - back 16th May.
