Uniforce Winners, Team Blink and Bling

Uniforce, an 8-week programme challenging student teams to deliver sustainability projects, culminated with an awards ceremony on Friday 30 January at Edinburgh Napier’s Craiglockhart Campus.

Teams from West of Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian, Robert Gordon, Stirling, and Edinburgh Napier University came together to deliver their final presentations, showcasing their innovative projects towards a Sustainable Scotland.

The evening also featured a panel discussion with jury members Cameron Graham, Ellen Gibson, Nancy Kennils, and Ibiyemi Omeihe, along with speeches by Scotland's Commissioner for Fair Access, Prof John MacKendrick, and Edinburgh Napier Principal, Prof Sue Rigby CBE.

Massive congratulations to the winning teams, who were:

  1. Blink and Bling (Robert Gordon University) £500
  2. Renewables (University of the West of Scotland) £200
  3. FABH Solutions (Robert Gordon University) £100

Chika Marvis, the Uniforce Programme Lead, stated:

“We’re grateful for the support and encouragement shown by all participating unions and universities, and to MSP Gillian Martin, whose engagement reinforced the importance of student-led climate action, innovation, and systems change.

Uniforce proved that cross-university collaboration at scale is not only possible but it’s powerful. We’re incredibly proud of every student involved and excited to see how these projects continue to grow beyond Uniforce.”

Uniforce was kindly supported and made possible through sponsorship by Unison, Edinburgh Napier University, University of Stirling Alumni, and Glasgow Caledonian University Alumni, IHQ and Iscanet.
