Edinburgh Napier students are invited to design a creative and visually striking poster for the Napier Student Film Festival 2025, with a £150 prize up for grabs
As part of the 2nd Edition of the Napier Student Film Festival, scheduled to be held from 5-7 November 2025, we are thrilled to introduce the NSSF Poster Challenge.
This initiative seeks to invite all Edinburgh Napier University students to design a creative and visually striking poster that represents the theme of the 2025 Napier Student Film Festival, capturing the energy, diversity, and ambition of student filmmakers from around the world.
This is your chance to have your work become the official poster for the Napier Student Film Festival 2025, while winning a £150 cash prize!
Who Can Apply:
- Open to all Edinburgh Napier University students, across all schools and programmes.
- You can apply individually or as a group/team (max 3 people).
Your Poster Should:
- Reflect the festival’s theme creatively.
- Include the festival name: Napier Student Film Festival 2025
- Include the NSFF logo (right click, save, unzip)
- Include the Festival dates
- Have space for adding venues, website, and sponsors at the bottom.
- Be original and not use copyrighted imagery.
- Be submitted in A2 size (portrait orientation) in both PDF and JPEG formats.
- Be adaptable for digital use on campus screens and on social media
The Theme:
"Bridging the Gap" - The Festival as a springboard to aspiring student filmmakers' industry aspirations.
Prize:
- The winning project will receive £150
- The winning entry will be used as the official festival poster, displayed around the campuses and on our social media channels.
- A success story will be shared on ENSA social media channels to showcase the talents of the winning designer(s).
Key Dates:
- Challenge Opens: Thursday 15 May 2025
- Submission Deadline: Friday 20 June 2025
- Finalists Pitching Session (via Microsoft Teams): Wednesday 25 June 2025
How to Submit:
Send your final design (PDF + JPEG) to filmfestival@napierstudents.com along with:
- Your full name(s)
- Programme(s) of study
- Student ID(s)
- A short description (max 250 words) explaining your concept design.
