UNIFORCE Scotland is a flagship initiative designed to harness Scottish academic talent through an inter-university challenge.
With employability ranking among the top priorities for students in the Higher Education (HE) sector, this program provides an eight-week employability challenge starting in summer 2025, it’s aimed at equipping 150-210 higher education students with valuable work experience.
UNIFORCE seeks to bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience through real-world, project-based learning. Open to current students and recent graduates, to tackle real-world challenges, creating tangible projects that drive innovation while creating communities and strengthening Scotland’s economic workforce.
This year’s theme is “Project for Sustainable Scotland”.
We launched the flagship initiative last year (For reference Check out last year’s projects, and winners at the award night), where one university produced 7 projects, 42 student participants gained valuable workplace experience.
Many students from the challenge have since secured employment opportunities. Expanding the initiative, the goal for this year is to produce 25 Quality student-led projects by the end of 2025. #25for25initiative
