Congratulations
Congratulations to Evans Eghan for winning Best Student at Creative Edinburgh Awards on Friday. It's great to share what we are doing with the wider creative community but great to hear about other projects we could engage with across the city.
Grow that Mo
You have smashed our target for Movember from last year. Well done. You have also exceeded the £10,000 mark and with less than ten days to go on your way to £11,000+. Truly amazing - pledge here
The Pulse Survey
How is Edinburgh Napier Students' Association doing? We want to know so we can continue what we do well and direct our resources on what we can do better. The Pulse Survey, which we will run every year to benchmark what we do, ends Monday 24th November at 12 noon. We are so close to our sample target and our teams will be sending out those last minute reminders to fill out the survey by then. More details here
International Event
On Wednesday we ran a International Event with the University for the Consular Corps and Cultural Organisations. Speakers from the University included Naomi Graham and Stuart Easter, Evans Eghan explianed the work of the Students' Association and we also hosted a student panel about their international experience at Edinburgh Napier University. It gave us the opportunity to say what we do, find out from consulates and international community organisations what they do and how we can work together to help improve and support International students on our campus. This is just one of several initiatives we will continue to explore, develop and run for International Students on campus and we thank everyone involved in making the event a success. Particular thanks to Victoria Paterson att the University who helped bring together the event.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
This week I met with the Chapliaincy Group who are promising oodles of mince pies for an event on Monday. Yes, it's the annual lighting of the Edinburgh Naper University Christmas Trees at each campus (Merchiston, Craiglockhart and Sighthill) from 4 to 5.30pm. Get your free tickets here. I cannot believe it has been a year since this fabulous event full of festive fun - the time has gone so quickly!
All staff and students are invited and when the world seems full of doom and gloom please do come together for a moment of Christmas Cheer. You are all very welcome!
