CEO Update 28.03.25

Posted on Fri 28 Mar 2025 at 11:42 by Anthony Foster

5 THINGS FOR A FRIDAY

We are knee deep in strategic planning, KPI's, budgets and AGMs at the moment!  On top of all that space planning, impact reports, Pulse surveys, staff surveys and HR.  In between times there is some fun stuff too!  Remember British Summer Time begins this weekend so move those clocks forward on Saturday Night / Sunday morning.  Oh, and don't forget to call your Mum for Mothers Day!

VARSITY WIN

A great win for Napier University at Varsity this week - but that pesky QMU improve year on year making it an exciting contest.  Men's Football was an excting penalty shoot out that could have gone either way.  The weather was very kind.  And it was a great party at the 3 Sisters too.  Details here

CLUBS AND SOCIETIES AWARDS BALL

The Awards Ball is on Friday at the ECC.  A culmination of great work.  We have seen an increase in Societies and Sports by over 20% this year (our target was 3%).  This has been seen on many campuses across Scotland and the UK (and outwith the University sector) which suggests we are getting back to work. play and volunteering after Covid.

ANOTHER EVENT?

The categories have been announced for the Excellance Awards, our final big event of the year which celebrates staff at Edinburgh Napier University.  Full details can be found here and how to nominate.

AND ANOTHER EVENT

After the successful Napier Student Film Festival this year we have been working to ensure we can keep it going in the future and enhance the student experience.  This means some early planning - so details can be found here about when nominations open and close
