About Us

Welcome to Edinburgh Napier Swim Club!

Whether you’re a competitive swimmer or simply love being in the water, our club is the perfect place to train, compete, and make lifelong friends.

Please note: we currently don’t offer a Learn to Swim programme, so membership is open to intermediate to advanced swimmers only.

Training

We train once a week at Balerno High School every Thursday evening from 8:00pm – 9:30pm. There is free car parking and the 44 bus takes you straight to the front door!

Each session offers:

  • Recreational training — ideal for swimmers who want to go at their own pace, stay active, and enjoy a like-minded community.
  • Competitive training — perfect for those aiming to improve technique, endurance, and race performance.

Matches & Competitions

  • SSS - Scottish University League
  • Varsity - Against QMU
  • Friendlies - Against other Edinburgh Universities and others across Scotland

Socials

We’re proud to announce that we have a sponsorship with TBC for the 2026/27 academic year, meaning regular bi-weekly themed socials there and at other local venues!

Not a nightlife person? Don’t worry, we plan on doing a lot of other fun activities like:

  • Themed events
  • Day trips
  • Fun activities like AquaDash!

We believe socials are just as important as training for building a strong, connected club so there will always be something for everyone to enjoy. Feel free to chat to our social secretary about any social ideas you have!
