Community-led Activity - Scotland
Description
Funding is available to organisations that are locally based for projects that bring real improvement to the places where they live and the wellbeing of those most in need in Scotland.

Objectives of Fund
This Fund has been designed to support organisations deliver activity that enables:
- Everyone in the community to influence and get involved in community-led activity.
- Residents to work together to improve their well-being and become better connected.
Value Notes
Grants of between £10,000 and £150,000 are available.
Funding is available for between three to five years.
Match Funding Restrictions
Match funding is welcomed but not required as the funding will cover 100% of the costs of the activity.
Who Can Apply
Voluntary and community organisations in Scotland that are based in the local area they serve and are run by local people are eligible to apply.
Applicants must:
- Have a governing body with at least three unrelated people on it.
- Have a written governing document, such as a constitution, which clearly states that the organisation has:
- a social purpose;
- open membership; and
- community control.
Restrictions
Funding is not available for:
- Retrospective costs.
- Activities that actively promote religion.
- Items that only benefit one person.
- Organisation applying on behalf of another organisation.
Eligible Expenditure
Funding is available for activity which achieves the following outcomes:
- Everyone in the community has the opportunity to influence and get involved in community-led activity.
- People in the community are better connected and work together to improve their wellbeing.
Activities must be people-led, connected, and strengths-based in line with the Big Lottery Fund Scotland's new approach to funding.
Funding is available for 100% of project costs, including staff, equipment, premises costs and overheads. Funding is mainly available for revenue costs, although capital costs (up to £50,000) will be considered when they are related to the funded activity.
