We are recruiting Welcome Team Volunteers for Welcome Week 2026
We are looking for enthusiastic student volunteers to join the Welcome Team this September, helping to create a memorable experience for both new and returning students during Welcome Week.
Running from Saturday 5 September to Sunday 13 September, Welcome Week is one of the busiest and most exciting times in the university calendar, and it only works with a great team behind it.
What's involved?
Volunteers will help at a range of events and activities across the week, including the Welcome Fair, campus stalls, and evening events. Tasks include greeting students, giving information, scanning tickets, and helping with event setup and decoration. Full training and briefings are provided the week before, running from 31 August to 4 September, so no prior experience is necessary.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to any Edinburgh Napier student who has completed at least one term at the university and is aged 18 or over. Volunteers should be friendly, approachable, and confident, the rest we'll teach you.
What do you get?
All volunteers receive a free Welcome Team t-shirt and a £30 stipend after completing a minimum of 10 hours. Volunteers who work the Pub Crawl receive an additional £10 on top of that.
Availability
Most shifts run during the day (10am-5pm) with some evenings (5pm-10pm). Partial availability is welcome - the schedule is built around you.
