STAFF FEEDBACK
This week I invited staff and sabbaticals to ask questions of me and also to share what piece of work they had been most proud of this year. It was good to hear what gave everyone a spring in their step going into work 'of a morning' and to share it with each other. They have all done amazing things to improve the student experience at Edinburgh Napier.
STUDENT FEEDBACK
We always want to hear from you! Last year we did the GREAT BIG ENSA SURVEY but to update that and get feedback on current issues we have introduced a question of the week. Check out the first question here. There is also a new student role we are launching as well, around Recreational Sport. Details here We have been recruiting student roles over the last few years and I hope to announce those who have been successful in the next few weeks.
UNIVERSITY SECTOR FEEDBACK
This week I was at the University of West of Scotland (where I started my own career 36 years ago when it was Paisley College of Technology) with other Students' Association senior staff from across Scotland. It's a safe space to discuss success, challenges, the sector and be tested from colleagues about decisions you have made that they have already gone through and it is quite invaluable. Even if the discussion isn't for you it may very well be. In my head I'm going oh, I did not know that, oh, I will steal that, oh, I will keep that for sometime in the future, oh I can't see that happening at Edinburgh Napier but I will store that just in case! If you could bottle the collective knowledge of everyone in that room who help manage a 'anchor' organisation in their respective Scottish Universities it would be worth thousands! Thankfully it only cost a train fare. Bargain!
