Esports Society

Are you interested in video games? Would you like to learn more about the world of Esports? Look no further!

Our aim is to create a friendly community for students and non-students alike to meet new people, talk, and play their favourite games together. Players from all games and platforms are welcome.

We have teams playing in the National University Esports League, National Student Esports and Battle for Scotland for those who are interested in playing competitively against other universities and colleges. We currently have teams that represent us in Rocket League, Overwatch 2, Counterstrike 2 and Valorant, but we are always looking to expand and form new teams in other games offered by the three leagues.

However, competing is not a requirement - we are open to those who wish to only play casual games too! We host a casual weekly game night on Tuesdays, 6pm to 8pm in Merchiston D2, providing you with an opportunity to meet your fellow gamers irl. For these game nights, we have a Nintendo Wii and Xbox One, but attendees are also more than welcome to bring along additional consoles or games (at their own risk) if they want to show off a particular game to others.

Our membership benefits include access to members only channels in our discord, twitch promotions for streamers, priority for places in our competitive and Battle for Edinburgh teams, free entry to our weekly game nights and more!

In addition to memberships, we also have some merchandise available. Logo stickers can be purchased on this page (just below the memberships), and are available as standard or holographic. We have also partnered with Raven to create society jerseys. These can be purchased here.

Your jersey can be customised with your gamer tag, number and country flag. You can also choose to have either short or long sleeves. The best part? You get an automatic 20% student discount and we get a commission for each sale, so your purchase directly supports the society.
