Chess

Napier ChessThis society is open to chess players of all levels (including beginners). Players will have the opportunity to participate in OTB (Over-the-board) tournaments with prizes. We also teach chess and help players analyze their games. Meetings will be once a week for about 2-3 hours.

Our members will be able to meet and play amongst like-minded individuals of varying skill ratings. As well as an environment to improve their chess and have fun! No equipment is required.

Memberships

To purchase a Society Membership, you will also need to pay the ENSA Societies Affiliation Fee. It costs just £5 and allows you to purchase as many Society Memberships as you choose!

Memberships expire at the end of the current academic year (end of May).

Membership for the new academic year will become available in August.

We recommend contacting the society before buying your membership to enquire what activities are planned and when they meet up.
