Our society has been created to celebrate people in STEM who are women or part of a gender minority. The Napier STEM Society will aim to:
We will organise events throughout the year, which will include: drop-in group study sessions, outdoor socials, networking events, guest speakers and competitions. We will also find out what other activities our members would like to be part of, to influence each other and develop together. The society will work in partnership with Equate Scotland, to organise events and help students in their studies, develop skills and network with like-minded people. Equate aims to make a positive difference for women working in, entering or studying STEM, and partner with employers and educators to create inclusive working and learning environments. We are committed to be a welcoming, supporting group, who will encourage and empower each other to have a fulfilling university experience, which will continue into employment.
