Come join the Subcuture!

Whether you are already a qualified diver or looking to become one, SubAqua is the right club for you.

Affiliated with SCOTSAC, all our diving instructors are alumni of Napier – and most of them learned diving with the club themselves. As one of the oldest clubs of Napier, we pride ourselves to be not just a sports club but a SubAqua-Family.

We organise regular dive trips through the year within the UK and at least one big end of year trip abroad.

And if you are yet to become a qualified diver and cannot join all the trips: don’t worry, there will be a lot of pub dives you can attend in the meantime.

Our instructors can qualify you as:

• Branch Diver (Open Water to 16m)
• Sport Diver (Open Water to 30m)
• Dive Master
• Dive Instructor

And they can also teach you how to use a dry suite (if you got one lying about that you never used because you are still saving up to pay for that speciality course).

We practice skills every Tuesday night at the Commonwealth Pool, after brief theory lessons for those that are wanting to qualify/progress. But everyone is welcome to jump in the pool with us and have some fun – or just go for a swim.
